Maine Memory Network is a project of the Maine Historical Society and is staffed by a full-time director and a full-time outreach curator, with much collaboration with the library staff and the education department.
Programming and web design are outsourced to vendors. At any given time, there are two to six interns and volunteers scanning documents and transcribing manuscripts.
At Maine Historical Society, Maine Memory Network is part of the Digital Engagement department, responsible for all MHS websites, multimedia, digital image production, and internal technology. The Digital Engagement department works closely with the Education & Interpretation office and the Brown Library to develop educational content and tools for teachers and users of Maine Memory Network.
