Description
The Madawaska Training School (MTS), which became the University of Maine at Fort Kent, owned and farmed land in the town of Fort Kent. The school used this land for its livestock and other agricultural purposes.
These are U.S. Department of Agriculture plot maps of the MTS farm land, along with a typescript letter from Leo M. Daigle, chairman of the Aroostook County branch of the department to an unknown recipient, dated 1949. The letter outlines the rules and restrictions for farming this land.
