Description

This shingled cottage was the first girls' cottage at Good Will-Hinckley. In 1897 Smith Cottage was dedicated in memory of Elizabeth Wilcox Smith, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Smith. Walter Smith was a long time supporter of Good Will, in fact, he sent a monthly donation on the first of each month for many years. Fifty years after Smith Cottage was built it was declared the best built cottage on campus by the home's founder G.W. Hinckley.
