Description
Mary K. Scrimgeour's elaborate cream colored 3/4 length coat, with long lace trim at cuffs. A quilted cut-work silk evening coat with deep chiffon ruffles at neck, includes a high neckline collar formed by lace. Silk cut work features foliated scrolls (foliage or floral design), and the cream silk underlay is visible.
Originally from Ontario, Mary King Scrimgeour (1849-1930) moved to Lewiston in 1885.
