Wall Hanging from Quilt from Falmouth, 1884

Description

Quilt section with burgundy velvet border made by Nancy Castonia. The center ribbon in the quilt has "Greely Day 1884" embroidered on it. Eliphalet Greely, founder of Greely Institute, was born in 1784. This ribbon commemorated his 100th birthday.
