Center Meetinghouse, Farmington, ca. 1860

Center Meetinghouse in Farmington was originally built in 1803 for religious purposes by several local denominations (probably Methodists, Episcopalians, and Baptists and potentially others). Later, the local court system took over the second floor for quarterly (four times a year) Court of Common Pleas and it became known as the Court House.
