Meshach Purington Larry, Windham, ca. 1861

Description

Meshach Purington Larry was born in Windham on November 22, 1832. A blacksmith by trade, he was part of the 17th Regiment, Maine Volunteers, Co. H. Shot in the left chest on May 6, 1864, he died the same day at age 32. He was buried on the battlefield in Wilderness.
