F.W. Ayer steamboat, ca. 1900

Description

Boat on the right is the steamer "FW Ayer." It was built about 1892.

A picture of it is in the 'Northern Magazine" - see March 1922, issue. It was built at North Twin Dam. Material was hauled with horses over drifted snow from Mattawamkeag.
