Description
John F. Cutter, secretary of the New England States Veteran Fireman's League, sent this New Year's greeting from Newburyport, Massachusetts, to the Androscoggin Fire Company in Topsham. It shows the Muster Committee of judges for a competition held on October 12, 1927.
The New England States Veteran Firemen's League was the rule-making body for fire muster competitions. The Androscoggin Company participated in numerous musters using the hand pumper, Androscoggin No. 2, also known as "Andy."
