Description
From left are Olaf Bangs (1908-July 7, 1987), Elizabeth Metcalf, Mrs. Hilda Bangs (1913-1997, shown in Lubec in July 1973. Olaf Bangs was an engineer. Hilda Bangs is remembered for bequeathing $200,000 for construction of Lubec’s new library, which opened in 2001.
The Bangs and Elizabeth and Warren Metcalf of Millinocket were friends of the Bangs.
