Description
A piece of wood with tapered edges similar to a bottle. It was taken from the old covered wooden bridge that was torn down in 1929 and replaced by one built of concrete. Local artist Alice Johnson asked the workmen to save small pieces for her and she painted lovely scenes on each one, often not signing them. On this one she put her initials. The outdoor scene shows trees with leaves, a body of water, dirt road and sky of sunset colors. Donated by Natalie Sheaff Schofield, formerly of Norridgewock.
