Tillie Marston home, Lubec, 1911, 1911

Contributed by Lubec Historical Society

Description

This house was once the home of Tillie (Wormell) Marston. The message on the back side includes the sentence, “This is our home,” but unfortunately is not signed. The message and address are in a different hand from the writing below the photograph.

Written to May (Mrs. Walter) Cofram of Manchester New Hampshire, the text includes some other names. “Tom is on duty again and Ella Madge is in school...” and “ I (believe?) Dustin is in high school by this time.” As of 2011, one hundred years later, the Manchester telephone listings include two individuals named Cofram.
