Description
Camp Lee-Stephenson is at Quoddy Village in Eastport is at the site of the housing built in 1935 for the Passamaquoddy Tidal Project, which was never completed.
The National Youth Administration took over the site and ran it until 1943 when the Navy took possession and operated a Construction Training Center named Camp Lee-Stephenson for Lt Irwin W. Lee and Lt. (jg) George W. Stephenson of the 24th Naval Construction Battalion, two Seabees who were killed in action.
