Description
Letter from David Rockefeller thanking them for the gift they gave and attending David and Peggy's 40th anniversary celebration.
Donald began working for the Rockefeller family in Seal Harbor in the early 1950s and continued to do so for approximately 30 years. His work and life were classic examples of the working interaction between the local and summer population on Mount Desert Island.
Donald's ancestors were some of the first non-native families - including the Gilleys - on Mount Desert Island and Cranberry Island. They were hard-working people who helped build and define MDI.
