Description
A ship at Crotch Island off Stonington. Crotch Island, like Hall Quarry, once had a major granite industry. Hall Quarry and Crotch Island had the same capability for ships to get close to the shore making it easier to load the granite. The granite industry lasted from approximately 1880 to 1925.
