Description
George Washington Pierce (1805-1835) was married to Anne Longfellow, sister of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
A native of Baldwin, Pierce graduated from Bowdoin College in 1825, and studied law with Longfellow's father, Stephen. He and Anne Longfellow married in 1832. He died three years later.
