Description

An H.K. Dearborn invention, the 'Flxible,' a boat that had wheels and converted into its own trailer, complete with directional signals. Here it is shown with Howard K. Dearborn and his sister, Pearl, on Lovewells Pond in Fryeburg, Maine.

Howard K. Dearborn, inventor, entrepreneur, philanthropist and engineer, began his career in Ohio. He relocated to Fryeburg, Maine and continued inventing equipment for the nuclear and aircraft industries, as well as creating machines for his personal enjoyment, such as this boat.
