1916 Simplex Crane, photographed at Seal Cove Auto Museum, ca. 2005

Contributed by Seal Cove Auto Museum

A 1916 Simplex Crane built by the Simplex Automobile Co., New York. At one time the car belonged to Pauline B. Snook of Schodack Center, New York.

Towards the end of 1914, a new model appeared which brought about a complete change in the Simplex Co. This was the 46 H.P., L-Head, Crane Model 5. A high quality machine, with beautiful coach work, but it lacked the sporting qualities of its predecessor.
