Bramhall Reservoir, Portland, 1926

Description

This view from the roof of Maine General Hospital overlooks the Bramhall Reservoir. The Bramhall Reservoir, begun in 1868, was finished and in operation by October of 1869.

The reservoir failed in 1882, but was rebuilt and continued to be used until 1964.
