Description
This letter written by William A. Drew contains a scrap of paper with the words: "1775 J.B. Dunkirk with Arnold."
William Drew describes how this scrap was hidden within the hole of a tree for 90 years and discovered when the tree was cut down in Augusta.
The scrap must have been left by one of the soldiers accompanying Benedict Arnold on his march to Quebec in 1775.
