Description
This classic pair of short boots with a stitched line across the toe are known as "cap toe boots." The popular style faded from mainstream fashion during the 1930s but not completely. In the early 21st century, the style is sometimes paired with suits and formalwear.
Pulitzer Prize winning Maine poet Edwin Arlington Robinson (1869-1935) owned this pair, made by New York’s "Whitehouse & Hardy."
