Description

Harness racing has been popular in Maine for many years now. With racetracks in Scarborough, Bangor, and Topsham, many people have gathered to watch races throughout the state. Although jockeys lay back in their sulkies, it can be easy for the horse to loose its balance and cause an accident on the racetrack, even at slower speeds.
