Description

The beech tree photographed by Chansonetta Stanley Emmons had initials and other notations carved up and down the trunk. Chansonetta lived in Massachusetts as an adult but spent most summers in her birthplace of Kingfield. Dorothy, Chansonetta's daughter often accompanied the photographer on trips throughout New England and to Stanley Hill.
