Description

Susan Walker was the first president of the Women's Library Club of Lovell.

Charlotte Hobbs wrote, "Miss Susan A. Walker, first president of the Woman's Club. Her great uncle Dr. James Walker was president of Harvard College. Ferris Greenslet calls him Harvard's Philosopher President. Dr. James Walker's brother, John, settled in Lovell on a farm near north Waterford."
