A portrait photograph of Walter H. Wotton from about 1904.
In 1897 Sherman Jameson asked his friend Walter Wotton (1864-1940) to be partner and treasurer of the Jameson & Wotton Wharf. Jameson handled the fishing end of the business, and Wotton managed store, which sold dry goods, fishing gear, and groceries. In addition to being an astute business man, he was remembered as having a genial disposition and a pleasant smile for everyone.
His partnership with Sherman Jameson was so successful that the Jameson & Wotton Wharf was listed on Dun and Bradstreet.
