Hermann Kotzschmar Memorial Organ, ca. 1931

The Kotzschmar Organ, mistakenly titled "Kotzschman" on this postcard, is a pipe organ located inside the Merrill Auditorium in Portland.

The organ was built in 1912 by the Austin Organ Co. It was the second-largest organ in the world in the early 1900s, and it still remains as the largest organ in Maine.
