Description

Actors portrayed downeast fishermen in a play at Lincoln Junior High School in Portland.

When Deering High School moved to a new building in 1923 due to a fire and overcrowding, the old building became Deering Junior High. In 1925, the school was renamed Lincoln Junior High in honor of the 16th president, Abraham Lincoln.
