Description

The angular-style post office building on the corner of Water and North Streets in Skowhegan was built between November 1916 and July 1918. The town of Skowhegan has had four different post offices over the centuries, but the building that opened in 1918 is the only one of the four to remain operating into the 21st century.

The caption reads, "Post Office, Skowhegan, Me."

The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1938.
