Description

Members of the Improved Order of Red Men Band Association posed in front of the Lubec bandstand. The first bandstand at this site, Main and Pleasant Streets, was erected about 1910. To the right, Main Street slopes down toward Lubec Channel. At the far end of Main the arched windows of the also-new Lubec Trust and Banking brick building are visible above the tuba, and just before the sidewalk steps up to the white-painted physician’s office.

Left to right, front row: Dan Cleaves, Harl Adams, Glen Brown, Lester Myers (written as “Meyers” on the photo but believed incorrect), Fred Morong.

Second row, Will Adams, Red McCracken, Cal Clark. Rear row, Will Higgins, Frank Young, Burris Leeman, John Flower, Charles Leighton, Fred Cleaves.
