Dr. Bennet's House, Lubec, ca. 1920, ca. 1920

Contributed by Lubec Historical Society

Description

Dr. Eben H. Bennet (June 20, 1848 - August 31, 1944) lived in this house at 18 Main Street in Lubec, about a block uphill from his office. The house became the Inn at the Anchorage B & B in the early 21st century.

The "widow’s walk" atop no longer exists but the house otherwise appears much the same in 2011, such as the square-patterned second story siding.
