Pike family, Lubec, 1892, 1892

Description

Among the most prominent families of Lubec are the Pikes, descended from sea captain Moses Pike who settled not long after the town was founded on June 21, 1811.

In this photograph #1 left is Tom Pike (Jabez, Jr.), #3 is Mary Pike, his and JCP’s sister, 4 & 5 are Evelyn (his daughter) & Bion Pike, 6 & 7 are Jacob Pike with son Sumner, and next to them (#8) is Mary Susan Tucker Pike, wife and mother. Jabez, the father of Tom, Bi and Jake, is in the foreground on the right. Identified by Anne Pike Rugh in 2010; others are unknown.
