William Pepperrell letter about Louisbourg, 1751

William Pepperrell of Kittery wrote to John Gorham, mentioning the battle of Louisbourg, in which Pepperrell directed forces, largely from Maine, in a successful effort in 1745 to wrest the area from French control.
