Description

This photograph shoes the Springvale Notre Dame Church as it looked around the turn of the century.

The first mass at Notre Dame Church was celebrated on October 13, 1889, and the Notre Dame Parish Church remained in this building for 27 years. It was replaced by a new church on Paine Street in 1916. This building was then sold to the Farmer's Union in 1919 and used for various purposes thereafter. It was torn down in 1934.
