Merrill's Garage was located in Monument Square and was owned and operated by Carl Merrill. In the background on the other side of the Piscataquis River is the store owned by Myron Merrill. Merrill's garage served the residents and travelers as a gas station and auto repair shop. Mr. Merrill also drove the Abbot school bus and was well remembered and respected by many scholars.
Both buildings have been razed.
