University of Maine officials Al Nutting and Phil Parsons showed how to use new chain saws while cutting trees at the Town of Troy field day. Note that participants were not using safety gear.
Town officials actively promoted better forestry practices, as many farms had gone out of business and were fast transitioning to forest land anyway.
