Wohelo, a camp on Sebago Lake, was founded in 1907. Chansonetta Stanley Emmons likely took this image, of girls sitting on rocks at sunset, in the camp's early days.

Emmons was a well-known Maine photographer of the early 20th century. Hand colored lantern slides, such as this item, were often used by Emmons in her traveling lectures.
