This large brick building might be in the Waterville area. Robert H. Gay, a seasonal resident of Biddeford and amateur photographer, took this photo around 1910.
In the background, a town and homes are visible on a hillside, and there could be a river or body of water nearby; the land around the building seems very sandy.
Gay worked as a photographer as a side business, producing portraits and postcards. He may have been paid to take this image by the owner or company.
