Description
This is the program from the forty-fifth anniversary of the Thursday Club. This was one of the largest ladies' clubs in Biddeford, and was dedicated to the social and intellectual improvement of its members. Membership was only open to Biddeford residents, although if a member moved away she could remain affiliated as an "honorary member" with the approval of the rest of the members. The celebration was to have taken place at the Hotel Thacher in Biddeford, but was moved to the Chadbourne House in Saco the week before "due to various circumstances."
