Dick Curless record, 1960

Description

Allagash Records released Dick Curless’ double-sided record that included the songs “Praying for the Day That Peace Will Come,” and “Somebody Killed a Policeman Today,” in 1960. Curless recorded the songs at Mel Tillis Studio in Nashville, Tennessee.

Curless, a Maine-born musician, had 11 songs make the Top 40 on the Billboard country music charts between 1965 and 1972. He was born in Fort Fairfield, lived in the Bangor area most of his life, and died in 1995.
