Description

Dick Curless started wearing an eye patch in the mid-1960s on his right eye because of deteriorating vision, but it became part of his signature style on and off stage.

Curless started performing in Maine when he returned from serving in the Korean War. He won a national talent contest hosted by Arthur Godfrey in 1957, and over his career had 22 Billboard country hits.
