Description
Architecture commission for an unknown client at 71 Rumford Avenue in Rumford Falls, Rumford, ME, 1904–1907. The commission is associated with John Calvin Stevens. This item is part of the Stevens Architects drawings and records collection.
The St. Barnabas Episcopal Church is a unique stone church, located on the corner of Penobscot Street and Plymouth Avenue. It was built from unhewn stones from the Androscoggin River. Construction of the church started in 1903 and by 1905 was sufficiently completed so that services could begin being held there.
