Description

The original outline for this map was drawn Nov. 3rd 1620. The scale is [1:633600] 1 inch to 10 miles. Copyright in 1885 by James P. Baxter, and includes colored borders representing the patents for the Lygonia patent, Kennebec Patent, and the Ancient Province of Maine. Some names mentioned on the map include Ferdinando Gorges, George Cleeve, Robert Trelauny, Josselyn, John Stratton, Thomas Cammock, Richard Bonython, Thomas Lewis, John Oldham, Richard Vines, Robert Aldsworth, and Giles Elbridge.
