Memorandum, Feb. 12, 1845, from Montreal by John Alfred Poor, 1808-1871, promoter of the Atlantic and St. Lawrence Railroad, in which he describes his trip to Montreal, undertaken during a blizzard, to secure the Portland to Montreal route for the railroad. His trip began on Feb. 5, 1845.
