Description
Harbor Cottage the homestead of Augustus Chase and Emily Savage in Northeast Harbor Maine. This photo dating from around 1880 shows some Savage family members as well as Rusticator house guests. The small boy to the far right is likely John Chase Savage (1874-1938). The young man perpendicular to him and second from the right is likely George A. Savage. Sr (1863-1922). Their father Augustus Chase Savage (1832-1911) is likely the man seated in the chair on the corner of the porch and third from the right. Their sister Anne Somes Savage (1867-1897) is standing to the left of her father Augustus Chase and leaning against the porch post.
