Steamer "Marguerite's" Crew, ca. 1928

Description

Pictured here is the crew of the steamer Marguerite on board around 1928.
From left to right are: Captain C. (Clifford) B. Sawyer, Engineer Alden, Bill Ryder (deck hand), and Charles Sawyer. The main function of the Marguerite was the transportation of hunters and fishermen to and from the various camps around Moosehead lake.

The Marguerite was built in West Cove by Henry Sawyer for Lester Van Brunt, a sportsman from New Jersey. She was acquired by the Coburn Company in 1903.
