Description

Cast of "Les Luttes de la Vie" [Life's Struggles], which played in Biddeford in the spring of 1937. J.J. Salvas and the "Biddeford Amatures" did French theater and played throughout New England from 1917-1947. Salvas was the producer, director, and principal actor. In the front row are Mrs. Aurore Gagne-Belair and Mrs. Viviane Boisvert-St. Louis. In the back row are Andre Painchaud; Pauline(?) Painchaud; J.J. Salvas; Mrs. Angenette Salvas-Denoncour; and Paul Bolduc. The writing on the front of the photograph says: "Les Luttes de La Vie Dim 11 Avril 1937 A L'Opera."
