New lookout tower, Number Nine Mountain, ca. 1920

The new fire lookout tower at Number Nine Mountain with the Forest Service watchman on the structure and another employee in the cab at the top.

The steel tower is 36 feet tall and was built at an elevation of 1,638 feet.
