Deposition reagarding the charcter of Pere Pole, 1792

William Hiscock, Eliab Eaton and William Read gave this deposition to the Pejepscot Company regarding Pere Pole's character. Pere Pole, an Abenaki from the Androscoggin River region, provided descriptions of local rivers within the Pejepscot Land Grant as part of a court case brought against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The Pejepscot Company was also known as the Proprietors of the Township of Brunswick or the Pejepscot Proprietors.
