Two generations tell the family's Paper story

A story by Normand and Richard Paradis from 1940s-2017

Father and mill superintendent Norm Paradis and his son, Richard Paradis, a Verso Paper employee, talked about their paper making heritage.

Normand Paradis's first memories of the mill were delivering hot meals to his father in a picnic basket. He worked his way up to supervisor of International Paper's Androscoggin Mill after having served in the military.

Normand's son, Richard Paradis followed in the steps of his father and grandfather, and has worked 38 years at the Verso (previously International Paper) Mill in Jay.

Between the two, they've seen a lot of changes in technology and the working environment.
