A view taken from the ledge on the southeast corner of the Pejepscot Paper Co. on November 7, 1896. The dam is on the Androscoggin River in Topsham. The back of the photograph notes that the elevation of the water is 68'2" above the dam and 47'9" below the dam. The total head and fall is 20'5".

The Pejepscot Dam is seen from the abutment at the southwest corner of the paper mill in a photo taken November 7, 1896. The water elevation above the dam was 68'2" -- 4'2" on crest and the elevation of the water below the dam was 47'9" -- 1.9" on apron. The total head and fall was 20'5". The dam is on the Androscoggin River.

Two workers pose at the Pejepscot Paper Company mill on the Androscoggin River in Topsham in a photograph taken about 1900.

This is the debarking room. Pulp sticks were tumbled in the background until the bark was scraped off and the cleaned wood was sent to the Pulp Room where it was ground up, and then pumped to the Wet End of the Dryer Room where it started to resemble paper.

This dramatic image shows the Pejepscot Paper Company on Main Street in Topsham in the background with the Androscoggin River roiling in the foreground.

George W. Barnes may have been the photographer in April 1895. The photographer's note says, "From Topsham just above Fishway." The electric plant is also in view.
